An arts and craft loft conversion of an Edwardian maisonette, coming soon in 2022

A reinterpretation of an Edwardian maisonette, located on the Octavia Hill Estate in Walworth. Elements of the original plan form are to be reinstated with modern uses. 

The tall loft space will be brought in to use accommodating a new bedroom, bathroom and gallery connected to the dining space below by a dramatic double height chimney and arts and craft staircase. 

Small spaces such as a kitchen nook are carved out of the plan. The nook with its large sash window catches the morning sun and overlooks the street, this will be a private space to have a morning coffee, check emails and work privately.

A modest galley kitchen with wood panelling will provide a homely feel to the maisonette, finely crafted with a simple marble worktop to elevate the quality of the room. Entered by arched doorways at either end a circular broken plan layout is created on the living floor.
